Born in Los Angeles, California, Malikai's origins also include the Bronx, New York and Atlanta, Georgia. Malikai is known by his fans as a Rising Superstar and the biggest Star to gain tremendous success without gaining his fame from using YouTube first . Why? It is because Malikai wanted to earn his fan base instead of getting famous from YouTube and Vine .

Despite not starting with YouTube, Malikai still managed to build an online fan base that many stars could only wish for and has broken many concert venues attendance records which is rare for a self owned artist.

although Malikai didn't start on YouTube he is teaming up with YouTube for his much anticipated YouTube debut.

Malikai spent a portion of his childhood homeless. What helped Malikai cope with his struggles was writing raps and reciting monologues from plays such as, ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Man of La Mancha.’ His talent in school gained the attention from Julliard which gave Malikai added motivation to pursue his goals to become an Actor and Musician.

Malikai has become successful due to his work ethic and fans he calls #Rebelz . After gaining the attention of major labels, Malikai founded his own entertainment company called New Rulez ! Which is poised to become a new leader in the music , Film ,Sports and Business industries.

Malikai is also a rising star in film, having performed roles in ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting,’ starring Chris Rock and ‘Flight,’ starring Denzel Washington. Malikai also have many films in the works including a biographical documentary, entitled, Malikai: Trials of a Youngsta. Malikai Amir works with countless organizations such as Lupus LA, the World Food Program, and over 100 others and started his own organizations Malikai'z Kidz ,Underground Railroad org and has recently launched his new organization Rebelz Foundation!
